PL/SQL expert - collections, bulk collect and DML, exception handling, best practices for performance and scalability

Data modelling - basic ER creation / maintenance, strong data modelling principles, strong physical modelling (indexes global vs. local, partitions, mat views)

Performance Tuning

AWR analysis - identify system bottlenecks, poorly performing SQL / DML, misuse of DB resources, and provide solutions incl communicating with and educating development teams on best practices

Query tuning - analysis of why a query is slow and provide recommendations for indexing, rewrites, hints, etc.

Complex query tuning - able to analyse very large and complex queries to isolate the trouble spots and provide solutions as above.

Proficiency with other tools such as ASH, ADDM, TKPROF, DBMS_PROFILE, SQLT

Ideally the candidate should have a deep knowledge of Oracle DB internals and be able to communicate / educate on how to best take advantage of the database for business needs.

Top must have Skills:

Experienced SQL & PL/SQL developers (let’s start small max 3) with 6+ years relevant hands-on experience including complex query performance analysis and tuning.

Experience using AWR, ADDM, ASH for application / database tuning is also required.

Experience using Toad and/or SQL Developer for tuning / coding. Candidates should be detail oriented and have good written and oral communication skills.

They should have worked (hands on)  Oracle 19c and previous Oracle versions for the above requirements
