JOB DETAIL

  • 10+ years of IT Project Delivery experience in Cloud environments (Azure).
  • Project certification (APMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, etc.) required.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with using Jira and Confluence
  • Someone who is experienced in implementing, enforcing, educating Agile framework
  • Not a new position, Valerie’s backfill
  • Having someone who had cloud development experience – More on the Azure top preference, project being build on Azure
  • They need to be able to do detailed reporting:

 

  • Reporting – 3 types:

 

1. If something is going wrong let manager know, make sure that there are proper metrics that are captured per every sprint capacity planning and track it (they currently don’t have a tool to do this but manager has templates or they can use a template of their own)

 

2. Velocity story points - wants to know how many points team was able to accomplish if there is rollover need to investigate as to why the rollover is happening and how to prevent it – when put altogether how is team doing on trendvelocity, sprint over sprint…are they going up, flat or down – all of that should come from this PM in end of sprint reporting – need to be able to write these reports – sprint over sprint report

 

3. Executive report in PPM Pro – goes to CTOand CEO – they read it– executive summary, any challenges in scope, schedule, and risk - review with key stakeholder leads and monthly basis – needs to be professionally written with all details of importance. Needs to know how to write and deliver an Executive Report.  

 

  • Energy to drive project – this is a High visibility project, think great communicator, someone that you can trust to take the LEAD
  • Attitude to lead – raise issues early don’t be afraid – even if not shared with rest of the team even if its just a gut feeling tell manager, don’t hold back
  • They need to be extra proactive
  • Escalate – truly manage to resolution
  • Manage risk and escalations is – they should have this because “its PM101”
  • 10+ years of PM experience
  • Critical as well – don’t be easily influenced by engineering and product manager – need to stand firm on their own opinions – include risk and issues
  • Provide update on weekly progress or not progress or issues – be transparent
