JOB DETAIL

  • Please do not provide candidates specializing in identity/access control, risk management, or architecture.
  • Focus on engineering experience specifically related to data encryption.

Must Haves: 

  • At least 5 years of experience with Data Encryption platform, 
  • including most recent release of Vormetric version 6.4.9 
  • Must have experience with operating systems – UNIX, Linux, and Windows. 
  • Data REST and AWS Cloud environment experience - is a PLUS. 
  • Nice to haves - Python, PowerShell and Bash experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on database and folder-level data encryption.
  • Extensive experience with Vormetric Data Encryption platforms and familiarity with the most recent release (version 6.4.9).
  • Proficient in operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
  • Practical experience with AWS cloud environment, specifically in cryptography and key management.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash are highly advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to AWS encryption best practices and policies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, accommodating weekend and night shifts when necessary.

 

 

About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Data Encryption Engineer to join our Applied Cryptography team within the Information Security Engineering department. This role is pivotal in providing administration and engineering support for encryption-at-rest services across our private and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support data encryption services and ensure integration with enterprise applications.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat intelligence studies.
  • Offer Level 3 support and troubleshooting for IT security solutions related to data-at-rest encryption.
  • Engage in the planning, design, and implementation of new security solutions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot key and certificate management systems and data-in-transit issues.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet security requirements and business objectives.
  • Provide training on security tools and encrypted environments to clients and internal teams.
