We are looking for a DevOps Engineer whose Primary responsibility will be to:

1. Support and Develop Backstage functionality. 
2. Develop custom actions and plugins which integrate with various applications. 
3. Support multiple products within the area including Jira, Confluence, and multiple in-house applications.
4. Build out of new functionality.
5. Maintenance of issues backlog and support queries
6. Onboarding of new teams and help promote adoption.
7. Assist with governance around the application and inner sourcing processes.
8. Assist in managing continuous improvement of engineering, delivery, and operational practices

Required Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
2. 3+ years of hands on experience in React js
3. Hands-on DevOps experience
4. Good working knowledge of Backstage
5. Good knowledge of basic Jira administrator actions (creating workflows, managing projects, setting up schemes etc.)
6. Good knowledge of basic Confluence administrator actions (creating spaces, configuring spaces etc.)
7. Exposure to agile development practices
8. A good understanding and exposure interacting with Gitlab, Jenkins and Nexus
9. Development experience with Service Portals
10. Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes
11. Understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash etc.
12. Web-development experience using JavaScript / Node.js
13. MySQL database experience, CI/CD experience
14. Hands on technical experience in automation for development/infra/production stability
15. Enthusiasm and ability to learn and apply new technologies
