Responsible for designing, modeling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS). Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning. Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.

The Consultant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Review current database structures/Schemas and ETL processes for understanding; enhance documentation of existing structures/schemas and ETL processes; and identify and implement improvements.
• Implement processes to ensure accuracy and quality of data as well as data security.
• Develop and maintain data catalog, data dictionary, and business glossary.
• Design, develop, and modify data infrastructures to improve and expedite data analysis and reporting.
• Provide support to ensure seamless data migration strategy.
• Identify and define data requirements as it relates to integrating new technology or new initiatives.
• Handle day-to-day management of assigned projects and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met.

Required Skills:

• 3-8+ years of experience as a database analyst with Oracle, PL/SQL, Data Governance, Data Warehousing, ETL Processing, Data Modeling and Data Migration.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Ability to work well with other team members in both application development activities, as well as troubleshooting issues
• A four year degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
