What you'll do

We run the software that runs the business! On the data platform team, we implement and maintain the systems that provide business-critical data to the people who need it.

  • Enable platforms that maintain architectural integrity and high availability
  • Perform zero downtime upgrades
  • Learn business processes in departments like Sales, Finance, and HR to be able to better support their needs
  • Onboard new systems and applications
  • Upgrade existing applications
  • Initiate and contribute to network and application security reviews
  • Improve each platform by conceiving and implementing better processes
  • Build sophisticated logical models while enabling them for users in an intuitive fashion
  • Assist end users with upgrade testing
  • Train super users and power users on usage of the tools
  • Coordinate development work with offshore team members and others
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of tools and systems
  • Work with the business solutions delivery team to ensure that solutions are simple to use
  • Collaborate and work with multi-functional IT teams

What you need to succeed

Our administrators have a lot of experience with different types of systems and technologies. We primarily work with business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau, but we also work with a variety of other applications and operating systems like Collibra, Alteryx, Metric Insights, and SQL Server.

  • A proven track record as a system administrator for BI tools
  • Prior experience implementing Power BI solutions
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Data Scientist experience preferred.
  • An understanding of or prior experience with R, Python, Jupyter, or similar tools
  • 5 to 7 years working in IT with a detailed understanding of SDLC methodology
  • Solid grasp of relational databases with demonstrated experience using SQL
  • Solid grasp of data warehousing methodologies and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with writing flex custom components such as charting a plus
  • Experience participating in JAD/ RAD / AGILE / Waterfall scrum sessions a plus
  • Ability to quickly translate requirements into work
  • Capable with Microsoft Office applications including Word, MS Project, Excel, Visio, and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLC
  • Passion for solving problems, innovation, and creativity
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership and presence
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills
