This well-established company in the entertainment and video content space is looking for a Senior Node Engineer to contribute across the stack. This is a full-time, fully remote role.

The company has been around for 20+ years and has a suite of sites leveraging heavily scaled video content software. They re undergoing a backend migration from Ruby into Node and looking for a Senior Engineer to help architect and complete that. You ll be expected to contribute across their stack of Node, Express, React, mySQL, and MongoDB. They re a small team overseeing a large codebase; everyone has an equal opportunity to own features, share ideas, and suggest upgrades to their tech stack. Experience working with large codebases, designing databases, developing APIs, and an understanding of DevOps will all be valuable.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of full-stack software development

4+ years working with Node + Express.js

Experience with API design and development

Demonstrated stability and commitment in work history

Strong voice and business intellect

Desired Skills & Experience Exposure to Ruby on Rails

Experience working with large legacy codebases

Experience with database design

Experience with DevOps
