We're in search of a highly motivated, seasoned Mainframe COBOL Developer to join our client in Flowood, MS. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of expertise in COBOL application development and maintenance within a mainframe setting, coupled with a robust grasp of healthcare systems and processes. This pivotal role entails supporting critical business applications to ensure their ongoing operation and optimization. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in COBOL application development and maintenance on mainframe platforms, showcasing adeptness in COBOL syntax, logic, and programming methodologies. 

• Ability to articulate individual contributions to projects. 

• Demonstrated grasp of industry dynamics and understanding of the business's impact on clients, particularly in claims adjudication and production support. 

• Proficiency in JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe technologies is advantageous. 

• Prior exposure to healthcare environments and a deep comprehension of healthcare systems and processes are highly desirable. 

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical prowess. 

• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. 

• Willingness to commit to 100% on-site work in Flowood, MS. 

• Capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
