who are good at Entity Relationship Data Modeling, but need more domain centered canonical data modeling
Candidates should be able to talk intelligently about DDD and bounded context modeling (See links and YouTube link videos on DDD below). Candidates should be confidant on their experience on DDD and relate it clearly.
They want candidates with industrial manufacturing experience (Inventory, Product master, supply chain etc.). So far all candidates we got were more experienced on banking and insurance.
They want candidates experience to reflect canonical data modeling and domain driven data modeling and bounded context data modeling
Client will take care of strategic domain design, setting up organization and planning for domains,
but want candidates to develop conceptual domain (Level 1) data model, sub-domain data model (Level 2 and 3)
Establish bounded context for the data models (what is part of domain and unique for the domain [core ], and what attributes are external to the domain [interface/integration])
Candidates will attend meetings with the client driving the domain data owners and stewards to arrive at common vocabulary of the domain, sub-domain and its data elements
Then candidate will develop canonical model for each domain and sub-domain
Not to focus individual Applications
don’t want candidate to do any Application or Domain API work, but knowledge of domain API (message flow) will help. So message model and interaction model they will address, but want our candidate to focus on canonical data model representation for domain and sub-domains
Use primarily Lucid charts for domain and sub-domain data domain and ER Studio when it gets to Operational Data Store (ODS) canonical data model
Canonical Data Modeling skills to implement virtualized models for data domains.
Data Domains include: Customer, Supplier, Product, Location, Workforce, Sales Order, Purchase Order, Finance, Inventory, Reference data
Work closely under supervision of Client Data Modelers and Managers
Tools – ER diagramming, Visio/Lucid Charts, Data model rationalization across different ERPs/Source systems
Resource type: Manager or Experience Senior Associate Onshore
