JOB DETAIL

-This is a Full stack .NET developer with a heavier focus on the front end

-They will need C# and C++

-Snap-On’s GUI is MVVM so they need to have strong experience here 

-They are developing desktop applications vs web, so they do need to have some experience developing desktop applications 

Additional notes, as we had an interview not work out.  She was not strong enough in MVVM or Multithreading:

  1. UI design expert: what does that mean to Snap-on?   
  • Experience in Screen Design using WPF (XAML) on Desktop based applications
  • Very good understanding MVVM Design Pattern
  • Good understanding of multithreading in .Net in context of updating controls of the screens
  1. What UI framework/libraries do they want to see?   
    1. .Net Framework and/or .Net Standard
    2. Understanding of Interfaces in .Net
    3. Data Marshalling
    4. Understanding of frameworks that allows working with Native DLLs

Basic OOP concepts (Data Abstraction, Encapsulation, Polymorphism, Inheritance).

Solid concepts (Refer to SOLID: The First 5 Principles of Object-Oriented Design / Digital Ocean for details)

Handling exceptions.

Concepts of design patterns like MVVM, WPF for desktop applications.

Productive with minimal guidance.

 

Test and calibration of screening development.

Snap-on eTechnician application into next level A5100.

Framework already done; instructions provided; and applications to be built and applied
