Responsibilities
Working closely with Product Managers and Customers for understanding of business requirements, competitor products and industry processes
Translating a product manager s vision for a product / feature into actionable tasks.
Analyzing business requirements, eliciting requirements and organizing them
Creating user stories and acceptance criteria s and maximizing the product s value to the business
Managing the product backlog items for user stories and bugs
Working closely with engineering and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved. This can involve sharing market research and competitive analysis with the team to best focus their efforts.
Participating in daily stand-ups with engineering team and mitigate risk in delivery.
Tracking progress towards the release of a product.
Ensuring the quality of the releases by testing, validating, and accepting the work done.
Have a proactive role in continually improving the process.
Desired Skills Experience
3-5 years experience managing web and mobile SaaS products as a Product Owner
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills along with outstanding presentation skills
Ability to work to a methodology / procedure with experience in iterative development methodologies like Agile.
Demonstrated success in releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives.
Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some user interface documentation skills.
Subject matter expertise in the particular product or market and how to develop solutions for this market. Subject matter expertise should include specific industry or technical knowledge.
Excellent teamwork skills especially with a can-do attitude
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important.
Experience in the use of, or implementation of, collaboration tools an advantage
