Roles and Responsibilities

 

Position Summary

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for providing tactical leadership for the development and operations of the company's sales campaigns. The sales ops manager will manage the daily operations of the inside sales team, implement key initiatives to support outside sales efforts, manage key department operations, sales data, and CRM management, develop and implement sales P&Ps, and manage reporting and analytics. Sales operations are responsible for ensuring that the company is generating revenue and managing the leads through internal and external sales and account management channels. This position is responsible for the development of resources and collaterals for each of its product and therapy lines. This includes providing input on messaging using social media, written content, and design of sales pieces in conjunction with the marketing department, management of conferences and sales activities, as well as developing key messages utilized by the sales and marketing teams to promote the company's products and services.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for managing the inside sales team that details clients through cold calling, marketing activities, and direct interactions with field representatives.
  2. Conduct a continuous review of the Company's sales strategy processes, work with the client to carry out appropriate improvements, and help establish sales operations across all targeted leads and accounts assigned to the inside sales team.
  3. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) against the established goals and sales metrics. Manage and report key performance indicators for business development activities and metrics that impact Company's bottom line.
  4. Capable of resolving escalated and urgent issues arising from operations requiring coordination of other departments.
  5. Sales training: Responsible for ensuring assigned inside sales executives have completed all training, web-based, live, and are competent to be conducting work without assistance.
  6. Responsible for tracking and analysis of sales-related metrics for the Company. Review and analyze tracking of customer accounts in CRM to determine compliance, performance, and success.
  7. Inside sales management help set up and oversee call-center based inside sales model and sales operations for targeting clients.
  8. Evaluate each account for compliance with Company established KPIs for sales. For sales representatives not meeting KPIs, work with the leadership team to achieve resolution and compliance.
  9. Responsible for leading the identification, development, and analysis of all pertinent sales data and reports in collaboration with the data analysts to ensure accurate, and up-to-date information is made available to Company and sales representatives.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

 

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree
  2. Three to five years of professional business-to-business sales management experience. Pharmacy or related industry experience preferred. Knowledge of pharmacy, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare industry is preferred. Experience with sales data, CRM, and prescriber sales is a plus.
  3. Minimum of 3+ years of Managerial experience and management of others.
  4. Sales Operations Knowledge of healthcare sales for services, experience with technology used to run sales operations like the use of CRM systems (E.g., HubSpot, Insightly, Salesforce, etc.), strong excel and data analytics skills to quickly measure the effectiveness of external sales reps, support and manage master sales data, target lists, set up / load CRMs for lead qualification.
  5. Strong people skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. Must be tech-savvy and passionate about high-growth high-velocity work environments.
