Roles and Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Web Developer will design, build, and maintain all websites and web presence for a US-based company that has partnered with Soni Brothers Outsourcing Solutions (SBOS) Private Limited.
The web developer is responsible for the front-end and back-end planning and development to support the company's websites and digital products. This position will work within the Information Technology team and will interact with the management team to ensure all software solutions and web applications are performing to company standards.
Essential Functions
- Builds, designs, and maintains all websites and software applications.
- Understands UI, cross-browser compatibility, responsive web design, and general web functions and standards.
- Creates solutions for identified problems or bugs. Furthermore, will create and maintain software documentation.
- Communicates with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders daily.
- Executes assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as PHP, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
- Develops and validates test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface.
- Will be responsible for content management system integrations
- Plans and delivers software platforms and products across multiple sites.
- Designs assignments with web services like REST, SOAP, etc.
- Evaluates written code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
- Maintains a professional understanding of web development by tracking trends that could impact business, and being well-versed in technology/industry trends to apply them to our business.
- Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.
Education and Training
1. Bachelor's Degree or higher. Certification in a relevant field is highly preferred.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience, with proven experience in software development and web programming.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
- Proficient in the following programming languages: SQL, PHP, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
- Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently. Ability to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management. Excellent verbal, and written communication with the ability to develop and present information in various formats.
- Creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
