The Information Services (IS) Application Support Specialist plays a critical role in our Region.
This position supports and maintains Expeditors proprietary Applications and Systems by handling incoming helpdesk tickets, phone and e-mails for our internal clients.
This position will be responsible for working on incident problem management, helping to identify issues and improve our processes. Every day is different. Come prepared to learn, share and provide the very best in customer service!
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Address incoming Application Support requests across several Applications in a team environment.
Troubleshoot various system issues: bugs, training, and resource questions.
Liaison between branch operations, development, product owners, and other internal IT teams.
Document dataflow process improvements, new procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
Provide education and cross-training within the support groups.

Degree in computer science or comparable work experience
Proficient in MS Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Understands data, application & technology architectures
Good understanding of logistics operations (preferred but not mandatory)
Helpful Experience :
SQL, UNIX, logistics industry, databases and dataflow, basic EDI knowledge. Exposure to an IS helpdesk or support in a technical, fast-paced environment focused on providing exceptional customer service.
