Roles and Responsibilities

1. Design of Automotive Mirrors (RVM, BVM etc) and safety system from Concept till development & ensuring to meet customer requirement and it's Homologation requirement for Two wheeler, Four Wheeler, Off -high way vehicles is must.

2 Handling the Design team for product design of Automotive Mirrors (RVM, BVM etc) and safety system and have a track record of homologated parts for recertification and renewal.

3 Review of new RFQ, Proposal design & customer interactions.

4 Adhere to APQP system and ensure compliance to IATF16949 system and customer requirement.

5 Bench marks data preparation.

6 Develop concept design & Proto samples preparation as per customer expectations.

7 Release TDS for new RFQs

8 Release of new product drawings (First time right design), BOM, DFMEA, FBD & DVP as per customer Time line & APQP time plan.

9 Review of existing product for improvements.

10 Release of drawings & BOM through PLM / Enovia system.

11 Review & implement interdepartmental and customer raised ECR/ECN review

12 VAVE projects or Cost reduction activities.

13 Manage customer relationship, visit and product testing and ensure product meet homologation requirements.

14 Patent registration for new concept design, where ever new innovation design performed. 15 Preparation of technical documents and coordination for customer and IATF audit

16 Completing various Design Task in PLM / Enovia system.

17 Continuous improvements of existing products.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

1 He should have minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in Product Design. In that minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in Design of Automotive Mirrors (RVM, BVM etc) and safety system from Concept till development & ensuring to meet customer requirement and it's Homologation requirement for Two wheeler, Four Wheeler, Off -high way vehicles is must.

 

2 Experience in handling the Design Engineers for product design of Automotive Mirrors (RVM, BVM etc).

 

3 Should have knowledge in design & development of Injection moulded, Sheet metal, Die Cast & Rubber moulded parts.

 

4 Should have manufacturing knowledge or exposure to Conventional & Non Conventional machines, Plating, Painting etc.

 

5 Should have hands on experience using in 3D modelling software (like PTC ProE Cero or UG NX etc) for generating 3D modelling & 2D manufacturing drawing is must.

 

6 Ensure the New product design & ECN changes are performed with in the target date.

 

7 Knowledge in APQP is must.

 

8 Knowledge in QMS like ISO9001 or IATF16949 related to Design & Development is must.

 

9 Knowledge in interpretation of Engineering drawing, customer specification and various standard.

 

10 Knowledge in GD&T, Tolerancing, Limits & fits and Tolerance stack-up is must.

 

11 Knowledge of Benchmark, DFMA, DVP is must.

 

12 Knowledge of various materials, standards and specification is must.

 

13 Knowledge in BOM, ECR, ECN process is must.

 

14 Knowledge in VA-VE is must.

 

15 Exposure in Tooling, Fixture & SPM design & manufacturing is must. Knowledge in these will be an added advantage.

 

16 Knowledge in any ERP, PDM or PLM system will be an added advantage.

 

17 Knowledge in vehicle or product homologation will be an added advantage.

 

18 Knowledge in Design calculations and FEA software for simulation for Static & Dynamic analysis will be an added advantage.

 

19 Should have good analytical & problem solving skills.

 

20 Should be a good team player and have good interpersonal skills.
