Roles and Responsibilities

Looking to add self-motivated, highly-experienced MySQL Database Administrator. The DBA team is responsible for tasks for development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The team also builds and maintains large-scale and very high transactional MySQL databases on Linux platform.

- Managing large scale MySQL databases

 

- Managing high transactional MySQL databases servicing OLTP and DSS applications

 

- Performing Mysql Major Version Upgrades and Minor version Upgrades

 

- Experience in MS sql-MYSQL Migration is Plus

 

- Managing 24x7 Databases Availability

 

- Solid understanding of MySQL internal architecture, demonstrated experience with MySQL
database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

 

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

- Experience with enterprise backup and recovery strategies

 

- Experience in database software management (patch and version management)

 

- Good scripting ability and good working knowledge of Shell Scripts, Perl or Python.

Qualifications:

 

- Experience in working in 24x7 High Paced Production environment

 

- Demonstrated experience with Open Source/Linux NONPROD and PROD environments

 

- Experience of Working in MySQL 5.7,8, Percona Mysql Server

 

- Mysql Database Tuning

 

- Hands on experience with designing and implementing database replication strategies

 

- Experience in designing and automating repetitive processes.

 

- 5 + years experience

 

- Self starter, Excellent troubleshooting skills, self-confidence and independence

 

- Good team player with strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills

 

- Able to work under pressure and multi-task

 

- Good to have Couchbase DB skill

 

- Pro-active, dedicated, committed and responsible.
