Job Description
- Candidate should possess strong technical ability in SAP HR ABAP development in combined with analytical and problem-solving skills who will work on developing SAP solutions in close collaboration with our business analysts and business stakeholders and sr. peers in the team.
- Proficient in ABAP programming, testing and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement and support of various SAP HR functional areas.
- Designs, develops, codes, specifications, and test programs for SAP HR modules and functions using ABAP programming language.
- Provides technical support on matters related to the SAP ABAP programming of SAP HR modules and third-party interfaces.
- Works with SAP business analysts to formalize specifications for custom development.
- Identify feasible solutions within SAP framework and estimate the effort needed to meet those technical requirements and gaps.
- Review functional specifications to ensure completeness in preparation for the development of custom objects.
- Manages multiple assignments while concurrently fulfilling ongoing application support and maintenance responsibilities.
- Works with internal and external technical resources to implement continuous improvements.
- Collaborates with other analysts to ensure system and procedural changes have minimum or no impact on other application areas and workstreams.
- Documents system changes and results per systems development life cycle requirements and audit guidelines.
- Creates specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming language.
- Advises other IT staff on internal development procedures and standards and ABAP development best practices.
- Assist business analysts in the development and maintenance of training materials and reference guides
- Support technical requirement gathering, develop prototypes/PoCs/recommend solutions with limited information from the business, delivery quality technical specifications and documentation.
- Run a quality assessment of peers' code.
Skills Required:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT (or equivalent) or business administration or applicable work experience.
- Candidate must have 7-11 years of solid SAP Development experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of Experience in SAP Technical capabilities HR ABAP.
- 3+ full life cycle implementations ( Integration projects preferred).
- 2+ years of experience developing SAP RFCs and working with BAPIs / Webservices for external interfaces, developing Web Services within SAP and consuming external Web Services to SAP.
- 4+ years of experience in building interfaces, enhancements, reports in SAP at least 1 year of working with SAP Workflow development.
- Strong experience working with Enhancement framework, user exits, OData, ALE, IDOC, OO/ALV, BAPI, Reports and BADI Implementations.
- Experience in developing and modifying SAP forms including SAP Script, Smart Forms, Layout sets and Adobe forms.
- Strong working knowledge of HR business processes.
- Demonstrated experience as a developer with a high level of knowledge and experience across SAP developments in major SAP ERP implementation projects, including Process Integration and interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience in converting functional specifications into a robust technical design using several SAP programming tools for example ABAP, ABAP reporting using OO/ALV, and print form development (Smart forms, SAP script and Adobe interactive forms).
- Strong self-propelled leadership skills and results oriented.
