JOB DETAIL

We are looking for a Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team in Bangalore, reporting to the IT manager based in Maryland, U.S. In this role, you will provide ongoing operational maintenance, support, and upgrades of on-prem and cloud networking/voice/DDI environments in support of Infoblox s global environment. You will see projects through all stages from defining requirements and drafting and presenting technical proposals to deploying and maintaining the best solutions.

What you ll do :

  • Manage and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN/cloud environment spanning multiple offices and cloud providers around the world
  • Manage and maintain DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) environment using Infoblox NIOS and B1-ServiceEdge both internal and external customer-facing environments over IPv4 and IPv6
  • Analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the enterprise
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation for internal and external customers detailing the configuration of deployed solutions
  • Triage, analyze, and perform root cause analysis for network-related issues
  • Provide 24x7 after-hours, on-call support, and support for off-hour implementations on a rotational basis
  • Support major implementations and projects within the infrastructure
  • Provide support and resolve escalations
  • Support day-to-day operations

What you ll bring :

  • At least 7 years of network engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of Cisco Routing, including RIP, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols
  • Deep understanding of Cisco Enterprise Campus and Data Center Switching, including Catalyst Switch platforms and Nexus 9K/7K/5K/
  • Deep understanding firewall/VPNs/Palo Alto NGFWs/Cisco ASAs
  • Deep understanding of DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) for both IPv4 and IPv6
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle)
  • Deep understanding of wireless networking (Meraki)
  • Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv6 routing
  • Basic understanding automation (Python, Ansible) a plus
  • Excellent documentation skills, including experience writing implementation plans, design justifications, and network diagrams
  • Experience leading extensive troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues in a timely manner with minimal or no oversight
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
