Role will report to Sr Manager - Platform Innovation and Architecture. Role will not have any direct reports.

Key Interfaces: ITS Leadership including the Enterprise Architecture team, ITS teams including BASIS and Security, Analytics Delivery Teams, Third party vendors for learning, research, and issue escalation, Infrastructure and hosting teams.

Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the platform strategy defines the coordination of information to best support the business strategy. Understand vendor platform roadmaps and their implications to K-C.
  • Lead delivery of new Analytics Platforms and the consult on development of new applications on the platform.
  • Investigate, evaluate, interpret and classify new and existing platforms, in order to rationalize business requirements with platforms. Ensure the platforms facilitate the development of applications to support the business.
  • Enable platforms that allow the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.
  • Oversee practices and processes to ensure the security, integrity, safety and availability of all forms of data and data structures that make up the organization s information. Develop innovative ways of managing the information assets of the organization.
  • Consults Analytics Delivery teams on toolset selection and best practices.
  • Provide design and code reviews for junior level colleagues.
  • Drive decisions for actions, find workarounds to roadblocks, cost savings (technical and process) and improve speed to market opportunities.
  • Success in collaborating and organizing across organizational and cultural boundaries. Influence and move the K-C culture to one that values and uses cross-business and functional data and analytics to power business performance.



Key Qualifications and Experiences :


  • Bachelor s degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years experience as developer, architect and technology subject matter expert in the Data and Analytics space.
  • Expert on Microsoft Azure architecture and design with focus on technologies to deliver AI/ML solution (Azure data factory, Azure blob storage, Azure ML service, Azure databricks, Azure SQL DB, Power BI)
  • Expert with Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Experience with SAP HANA, ECC, BI architecture
  • Experience with various integrations methods including APIs
  • Hands-on experience with development on cloud Big Data technologies.
  • Hands-on experience administrating BI tools (Tableau, Business Objects, PowerBI)
  • Experience with integration methods and tools including ETL and virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge developing strategic planning, leadership, and organization delivery for new platform rollouts.
  • Proven experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rational experimentation. Effectively manages ambiguity, change and conflict. Able to identify, address or escalate potential dependencies and issues.
  • Excellent communication capability; written, verbal. Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels.
  • At ease in establishing senior-level working relationships and communications. Ability to influence at multiple organizational on highly technical issues and challenges.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
