Roles and Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities: Fulfil DBA daily activities:1) Backups/Restore, User Access Management (creating users, privileges, roles, quotas, table, indexes etc.), space management, monitoring (alert log, memory, disk I/O, CPU, database network connectivity)

• 2) Work closely with developers, provide DBA support for multiple applications in development, Test, QA, UAT and production environments. The individual will also be required to work on scripting tools like PowerShell at an application level

3) Work on Application and DB deployments to all environments4) Maintain SQL DB’s, Data Warehouse, Power BI datasets and OLAP Cubes (On Prem and Azure)Primary Skills required:1) Installing SQL server (DB, Integration Services, Report Services, Analysis Services, Data Tools, On Prem & Cloud) and client software, creating, upgrading and patching databases in different environments. Experience in Upgrade and Migration of SQL Server to higher version (SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2016)2) Working with the Development teams to fix the problems in Applications3) Performance Tuning of database which includes SQL optimization4) Proficiency in T-SQL, includes, creating database objects like tables, views, indexes, constraints, functions, procedures, triggers, partitioned tables, etc. Planning, scheduling and taking backups. Hands on experience in database backups and Recovery strategies.4) Managing Clustered environments, load balancing, scripting using PowerShellDesired Secondary Skills:1) Executing deployments to different environments and automating them2) Data warehouse/ETL/OLAP and BI knowledge3) Basics of Azure and Power BI Administration4) PROD maintenance experienceCertifications:1) Microsoft Certifications for SQL Server 2016 Database Administration OR Azure Database Administration
