The Technical Writer is responsible for the conceptual design, layout and structuring of user guides and technical documentation for internal and external use.
He/she provides documentation based on the respective version of the incadea product, describing automotive retail business processes, visualized as text and/or flow charts.
He/she participates in integrated project teams.
Looking for a Technical Writer to join our incadea Product Documentation team in Bangalore, India.
You will be responsible for the creation of feature documentation, User Guides, Service Level Agreement (SLA) documentation, API documentation and release notes.
You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders
To create and maintain high quality documentation that helps our customers understand our products and solutions.
To keep up-to-date with product changes, customer use cases and support issues.
To incorporate or address technical and peer review comments.
To able to w ork proactively with project teams to ensure that all information is technically accurate, comprehensive a nd in compliance with documentation standards.
Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver effective customer-focused documentation.
Regular use of a content management system (CMS) to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation including draft, review, and publish phases.
The use of our internal documentation tools including the publishing platform (online help) and issue tracking tool s .
Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred .
Excellent writing , proofreading and communication skills.
Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill.
Experience of minimum 4-5 years in user-centered product writing such as software, web or app based products.
Experience using a structured approach to documentation, such as DIT A.
Experience with XML - based authoring tools like Cosima Go (preferred) , Adobe Frame Maker, advanced MS Word skills and graphic editing tools like Snagit.
Experience with ERP systems e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central .
Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn quickly new technology, tools, and software applications.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Experience working on Microsoft TFS for project management will be an added benefit.
Experience creating technical informative How-to-use videos is an advantage.
