Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Participates as a member of a Testing Team.; may lead small testing teams. Utilizing testing methodology, applies specialization to develop a Test Plan for a test level to be executed for a project, as specified in the Testing Strategy for the project.
- Come up with Test Automation strategy and maintain high level of test automation for feature/components owned within program increments
- Design new test automation tools/frameworks as needed and enhance/maintain the existing test automation frameworks
- Utilize development skills, data manipulation skills and scripting skills to engineer technical, repeatable tests for automation of complex customer scenarios
- Implement and maintain CI/CD process
- Identifies and implements code coverage, static code analysis tools integration into development process
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
- Stays current on established tools, techniques, and technologies.
- Supports / leads knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required. May have advanced university degree.
- Minimum 2.5 years to 8 years of industry experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong experience in Test automation framework design and test case automation using Selenium/Java/TestNG/REST/Python/shell scripting
- Strong experience in Windows/Linux
- Exposure to CI / CD tools like Jenkins, Chef etc.
- Exposure to SQL, data manipulation, Data validation testing
- Working experience in cloud, Docker and kubernetes technologies
- Well versed with AGILE/SCRUM methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
