JOB DETAIL

The ServiceNow Event Management Developer should be knowledgeable in ITOM

practices, to fill a critical role. The core focus of this role is ServiceNow Event

Management that will work closely with Eventing Platforms. We are looking for a

candidate who can communicate effectively, collaborate with multiple business units, is

adaptable to change and will take the initiative to help refine the clients monitoring

platform. This role is critical, as more Incidents will be opened automatically via Event

Management. The program is currently updating and consolidating monitoring and

alarming platforms; the successful candidate will be able to take a leadership role in this

effort from the ServiceNow perspective. This team is fast paced, Agile, Lean, and works

closely with other teams in a matrix manner.

 

• Certifications (if required)

  • ServiceNow Fundamentals Certification (Mandatory)
  • Certified Implementation Specialist Event Management (Preferable)
  • ITIL certification (Optional)

• Essential skills

  • Integrated Event Management with monitoring solutions
  • Configured Event Management (ITOM) by configuring Connector Instances

and Connector Definitions (Onboarding new event sources and enhancing

existing connections)

  • Experienced in Service Now Event Management by configuring Event Mapping

Rules, Event Transform Rules, Alert Rules, Incident Templates, Plugins, CI

Binding

  • Configured ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration
  • Knowledge of REST API's, Flow Designer, Scripting
  • Worked on building Enhancements and improvements for Event management

(Healthchecks and Advancement modules)

  • Be a Problem solver, logical thinker and bring innovation ideas to the table
  • Deployed ServiceNow MID servers and developed PowerShell scripts to build

ServiceNow Orchestration activities

  • Perform day-to-day administration of ServiceNow application
  • On requirement, to work with Application Team and identify/refine Eventing

requirements and workflows

  • Acquire or prepare Technical documentation for supported applications and

systems

  • Knowledge on Web Service Integration using REST/SOAP
