JOB DETAIL

The position is anchored in LAB LIMS Systems department within Manufacturing IT GBS, India. LAB LIMS Systems consists of an application portfolio for Quality Control systems, mostly used in the laboratory areas across the globe in various Novo Nordisk Product Supply (PS) manufacturing sites.

In LAB LIMS Systems you will be part of a highly engaged team managing LabVantage LV LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for PS, supporting LIMS system which is core to the laboratory and production processes in Novo Nordisk. You will be part of a team managing operation, maintenance, and development of GxP critical IT system, including system corrections and releases as well as the support process in Agile methodology.

As a LabVantage LV LIMS Solution Architect, you will work close collaboration with Product Manager to ensure the implementation of new solutions and improvements in globalLIMS system align with LAB business requirements. This role will help shape and deliver the long-term LAB business strategic vision.

You will be responsible for the development of general and project specific architectural design and system specifications of the globalLIMS platform as well as the planned and applied configuration changes, customizations, system interfaces. Ensures that requirements are implemented and maintained in accordance with pharma industry best practices and design principles.

Serves as point of contact (SPOC) to business and mentor to provide overall leadership team and consultant to other related projects.


The globalLIMS system is the Novo Nordisk implementation of the standard Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software package of LV LIMS from LabVantage with additional BO reports and interfaces to other Novo Nordisk systems. It handles laboratory information related to quality control (QC) of pharmaceutical products within Novo Nordisk. This system is used to plan and document the laboratory analysis which is part of the release process for the products.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall technical enterprise LIMS leadership and participates in the development of the globalLIMS enterprise architecture.
  • Translates business requirements into enterprise LIMS configuration and system integration specifications and ensures specification implementation that is compliant with best industry practices.
  • Participates in the evaluation of vended solutions to assess their architectural fit, serves as primary technical point of contact for vendor relations.
  • Serves as the lead application specialist and assists business analyst in the collection of relevant information and preparation of systems requirements documentation.
  • Designs and documents system installation and upgrade guides, specifications, and related standards and guides technical team, application specialists.
  • Designs application user guides, documents common workflows, prepares training materials and conducts or participates in knowledge sharing session with technical team.
  • Participate in enterprise LIMS related infrastructure projects with an architectural emphasis such as the specification or adoption of system development best practices, development tools, and related architectural standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to organize work assignments effectively, develop priorities and follow through with accuracy.
  • Ensures work environment is organized and functions efficiently.
  • Attends meetings and participates on committees and in problem solving sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s in engineering, MCA or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Science).
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in leading system support and development teams of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) configured on LabVantage LV LIMS including 5 years as Solution Architect
  • Excellent laboratory business process understanding
  • Demonstrate pro-activeness and ownership
  • Good communication and collaborative skills involving key stakeholders including follow-up on vendor deliverables and services according to agreements
  • Enhancing good team spirit and high degree of knowledge sharing
  • Pharma Domain experience preferred
  • Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders
  • Open for business travel
