Roles and Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Manage SQL Server Databases through product life cycle, from Development to Business-Critical Production Systems, and ability to manage databases in on prem Environment.
• Configure and maintain databases servers, processes, SQL agent jobs including monitoring of system health, storage, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Expertise on SQL server patching and upgrades.
• Independently analyze, resolve issues in real-time, ability to provide long-term resolution and 8-D root cause analysis report.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues and document changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Working knowledge in Database mail configuration and maintenance.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours/weekends.
• Apply best data modeling technique to ensure the development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Knowledge on data encryption/certificates in SQL server.
• Create and maintain SQL server audit to tracking database changes
• Working experience in High availability solution of SQL server (Replication, Mirroring, clustering)
• Database projects activities like: MSSQL Database installation, Build, Instance Creation, Handling multiple versions/editions/POCs of SQL Server.
• Work with Microsoft for support escalations.
• Working knowledge on ticketing tools like Service now, Footprints, HPQC.
• Working knowledge on ITIL process like incident management, change management etc.
• Proven Work experience in business-critical Data-ware house (DW) database environment.
