About the Role:

Epicor Software Corporation is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, self-starter to fill the role of Technical Writer/Content Developer-Associate. The Technical Writer/Content Developer will be responsible for authoring customer facing, instructional and educational documentation. This person must be detail oriented, organized and concise. This person must be able to work cross functionally with Product Management and Product Development teams, but also excel independently. This is a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. Delivering high quality work on time is critical.

What You Need to Succeed:

Document product functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices through research, cross-functional teamwork and hands-on product testing.

Determine and use appropriate methods and tools to best educate customers

Work closely with Product Management and Product Development to gather content requirements, and review/ approve documentation

Ensure all deliverables are on time throughout software development life cycle

Create help content that is accurate, thorough, high quality, and easy to understand

Utilize images and graphical elements to supplement documentation

Review, edit and maintain content to ensure accuracy, usability, and ease of consumption

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

  • 6 months to 1 year s applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 1 years of specialized/industry experience
  • Bachelor s degree
  • Must be able to speak, understand, ready, and write the English language
  • Proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope.
  • Identify potential project crises and devise contingency plans.
  • Conduct and complete formal stage and milestone signoffs with project leads and stakeholders.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Manage and ensure adherence to use of activity reports by all project resources.
  • Manage and provide QA on all project documentation.
  • Manage any project escalations to senior management.
