JOB DETAIL

Primary role:

The User-Experience (UX) Designer will be a critical lead in the development and design of the Odessa Platform functionality experience. In this role, the UX Designer will champion business requirements, conduct user research, and translate this research into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. Focused on delivering great user experience, the UX Designer will have had a minimum of 5 years experience application design.

What youll do:

  • Plan and conduct user research to develop analysis citing the most effective methods of UX required by the functionality
  • Manage interviews, user surveys, card sorting and usability tests end-to-end to determine the leading user experience strategy
  • Develop user stories to define user personas and storyboards
  • Champion usability testing and heuristic evaluations
  • Transform the Platform design, keeping accessibility requirements top-of-mind
  • Serve as a liaison across teams, collaborating and communicating among your team and others
  • Ensure deliverables have been reviewed with scrupulous attention to detail
  • Provide innovative ideas by identifying design problems in existing solutions
  • Develop out-of-the-box ideas with both a creative and analytical mind-set
  • Provide a unique point of view with the ability to constantly adapt and problem solve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Design or equivalent proved experience
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in application design, specifically application portals, dashboards, information-heavy screens
  • Advanced proficiency in user-centric design best practices
  • Experience with interaction design principles for the omnichannel experience
  • Experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines
  • Advanced proficiency in industry tools: Sketch, Invision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Zeplin
  • Experience working in a product-based IT company and/or banking and financial services company would be highly preferred.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work of user-centered and high-quality visual design solutions
  • Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills; and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks
  • Strong communications skills (written, verbal and presentational)
