You will join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere, NSX and vCF platforms and infrastructure automation to affect change.
The right person for this role will have:
- Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments
- Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment with vSAN
- Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
- Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
- Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
- Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
- Seven or more years of experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering, constantly seeking to be an expert. You take pride in self-mastery and knowledge development
- Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
- Strong computing fundamentals
- A passion for building software, and a long-term career as a software technologist
- Demonstrated leadership in an agile team
- Strong networking background, with good knowledge of related protocols and technologies (e.g. BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, UDP), as applied to a data center context
- Experience with VMware NSX-T a strong plus
- Strong communications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with multiple teams, and both technical and non-technical audiences
