Primary Skills:

• Strong Core Java Development Skills specifically with web-based products.  The focus is more mid-tier and back-end development.
• Experience working with Spring Batch and Spring Boot
• Strong API Development skills- Must be able to write REST APIs
• Strong SQL or My/SQL skills- must understand the nature of data and be able to write complex queries.
• Experience developing in a CI/CD environment utilizing Jenkins or similar tools
• One of the resources should have Python experience.
• Experience with testing of their own code.
• Understanding of Unix
• Experience with Kafka que streaming mechanism

Plusses

• Experience working withing a Hadoop environment (Spark, Hive, NOSQl Etc.)
• Experience deploying software to the cloud in a Kubernetes environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and continuously improve software
• Translate product concepts into project commitments that deliver incremental value to our customers frequently and with high quality
• Mentor the engineering team through code reviews, and hands on design sessions.
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile and DevOps
• Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures
• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally-distributed audiences
• Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to deliver reusable components, patterns, tools
• Solid understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices.
