JOB DETAIL

  • Acting as lead Android developer. Depending on the skills set can be lead on one platform and play a supporting role across the other.
  • Working closely with another mobile app developer leading the other platform development, Deliver across the entire app life cycle.
  • concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIrsquos.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Standardising the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort.
  • Optimising performance for the apps.
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
  • Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME).
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiar with XML.
  • Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system.
  • Familiar with Android Studio.
  • Experience working with webservice of remote data via SOAP,REST,JSON Parser, Volly.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Have published at least more than 5 original Android app.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Knowledge in using version control (e.g. SVN
