Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Qualify sales opportunities for Rocket Content Management Solutions based on technical, business and software customization fit.
  • Easily relate to customer challenges and provide clear, value-based solutions.
  • Present solutions to customers and partners with or without sales support.
  • Support partners in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the product team on new software releases, betas and new feature innovations.
  • Provide knowledge and skills to help qualify business opportunities by understanding the user requirements and technical environment.
  • Achieve trusted advisor status with customer and partner technical resources by demonstrating software value and providing technical expertise in a wide range of environments and business context.
  • Adopt new technologies quickly and in a manner that adds value to the Rocket software portfolio: product ideas, hands on proof of concepts, architectural understanding, and value proposition.
  • Deliver compelling software demonstrations to business and technical audiences from idea to creation through hands on technical work, leading ad hoc technical teams, and shaping and managing scope to tight deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance on all software components, design techniques, methodology and delivery concept to partners and peers.
  • Handle objections professionally; answer questions quickly and coherently; deal with challenges confidently and persuasively.
  • Successfully plan, manage, and complete proof-of-concepts (PoC) that achieve business and sales objectives that are appropriately scoped, deliver on technical requirement proof points, and have a compelling result for stakeholders.

Education Level & Experience

  • Total 9+ years of experience and Minimum of five (5) years previous experience in pre-sales
  • Minimum of three (3) years pre-sales experience preferred with a Content Management solution (e.g., Mobius, FileNet, OpenText, Documentum, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Preferred Skillset

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in at least one of the following cloud technology stacks: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Microsoft Certified Professional
  • Expertise with Linux, Windows, other operating systems (z/OS)
  • Expertise with Docker; expertise with Kubernetes a plus
  • Knowledge of SaaS technology is beneficial
  • Knowledge of databases and database concepts a plus (Oracle, SQL Server, VSAM)
  • Knowledge of Java, IIS/Active Directory, Web Application Servers
  • Expertise with SSO and LDAP/AD paradigms
  • Knowledge of REST API functionality
  • In-depth understanding of business requirements gathering, including documentation of requirements, management of the end-to-end process; requirements traceability
  • Project Management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Expertise with system architecture design
  • Familiarity with application testing (functional, integration, performance), including SIT and UAT and test case creation
  • Proven ability to complete product installations with a history of successfully integrating technologies as part of a solution
  • Proven ability to manage a proof-of-concept from start to finish
  • Previous participation in the development of RFI/RFP/RFQ responses
