PURPOSE OF POSITION
A national and international employee plans and transfer agent administrator is seeking a SOFTWARE QA TEST LEAD having Financial services [Investment Banking] domain knowledge in Transfer agency, Custodial services, Corporate actions, settlements [Cash Stock], IPO services, Mutual Funds etc. employee plan services, Financial Reporting services areas and hands on testing relevant Software application. Undertakes complex software releases technology delivery testing and provide Quality Assurance level of testing. Work with application/platform stakeholders implementing business requirements into bug free software release in to production. Understand requirements and solution design, technical documentation and translate into test scenarios\ test cases. Experience and Skill specs:
- Hands on experience in software test design and test execution and domain relevant Software application QA test design and test execution experience
- Good knowledge and experience in, testing life cycle, test phases such as unit, integration, system, functional and non functional testing, regression testing
- Hands-on experience designing test cases relevant to test phases and using test techniques relevant to to phases .
- Should possess Analytical, test design, defect reporting and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications developed in Java, .Net and Web using HTML, CSS
- COBOL, CICS, JCL skill set is a huge +
- Hands on Test suite [ Manual and Automated] organization, maintenance
- RDBMS experience with exposure to writing SQL queries.
- MS EXCEL Skills
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
- Able to utilize tools like JIRA, Visio and MS Office tools for documentation and work tracking purposes
- Experience in test design and maintaining test suites using spreadsheets and test management tools
- Experience in IBM Mainframe applications testing or combination of Windows and Mainframe application testing is desirable .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate, contribute and assists the enterprise in house software development and third-party software application integration releases testing activities
- Practise and Implement quality process in test design solutions while conducting exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications, business requirements and processes procedures.
- Responsible for the test scenarios est cases design, test execution, defect reporting, retesting, and contribute towards maintenance of comprehensive test plans/test cases [Manual].
- Create, maintain, and modify test scenarios/test cases for new/existing software applications/releases that ensure comprehensive testing according to the software specifications.
- Act as support person for applications under his/her test area for providing functional knowledge, carrying out proof of concept testing as needed.
- Practice and implement new and improved testing best practices tools as advised by manager[s] that would benefit team and organization
- Willing to undertake additional responsibilities and tasks assigned as per project and organization needs.
