JOB DETAIL

The Software Business Analyst will elicit, analyze and document the needs of the stakeholders. Practical, relevant experience as a creative problem solver and a proven ability to solve tough challenges with high quality is critical.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Product Manager and project stakeholders to understand requirements translating the business needs into user stories that can be understood by the software engineers
  • Ensure the product backlog priorities to align with the product vision and priorities defined by the Product Manager
  • Ensure user stories meet the business objectives of the stakeholders
  • Lead user story reviews with the development team
  • Lead review of features/development that has been completed during the sprint in Sprint Reviews of software to ensure the requirements were interpreted correctly
  • Assist in the user interface design of the software products
  • Lead Sprint Planning and answer questions from the development team to ensure they are able to understand and fulfill the needs of the user stories
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of production related customer issues, as needed
  • Review, and assist with generation of, product documentation, release notes and customer education deliverables
  • Manage changes to requirements or scope creep through effective change management processes
  • Assist with answering questions from the internal software implementation, training and support teams
  • Working with the product manager on technology solutions from idea to launch and actively collaborating with 3rd party vendors, customers, business development, engineering, sales, marketing, and other divisions of MatrixCare organization.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to support transition of functionality from Development to respective teams. (i.e. Sales, Professional Services, Support, Customer Success, etc.)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Partner with product manager, and others as needed, to translate problem statements into innovative solutions.
  • Utilize market research to assist with the development and design of solutions
  • Work with Product Manager to clearly understand the partnership product strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and document requirements that clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts.
  • Track regulatory changes and deadlines by partnering with our regulatory compliance team.
  • Conduct research and develop a good understanding of the customers needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and provide transition of knowledge to educate internal teams and customers on product features and releases, partnering with education services team.
  • Follow and support corporate security policies, standards, and procedures as they apply to this role. Maintain customer and corporate privacy standards as outlined by HIPAA.
  • Work daily and effectively to balance stress of multiple projects, conflicting priorities, substantial workload, environmental ambiguity and changing plans though self-management and productive communications with the management team regarding needs for support.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, as deemed necessary by management.
  • Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Software Engineering, Business, Healthcare or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Health IT, Home Health, Hospice and/or Palliative care industries
  • 3rd party certifications in Product/Project management field are preferred
