Experience and Skill specs:
- Hands on 9+ years of domain relevant Software application QA testing experience with at least 3 years of lead role exposure
- Good knowledge and experience in, testing life cycle, test phases such as unit, integration, system, functional and non functional testing, regression testing
- Hands-on experience designing test cases relevant to test phases and using test techniques relevant to to phases .
- Should possess Analytical,Test panning, test design and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications developed in Java, .Net and Web using HTML, CSS
- Hands on IBM Mainframe applications testing or combination of Windows and Mainframe application testing.
- COBOL, CICS, JCL skill set is a huge +
- Hands on Test suite [ Manual and Automated] organization, maintenence
- RDBMS experience with exposure to writing SQL queries.
- MS EXCEL Skills
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
- Able to utilize tools like JIRA, Visio and MS Office tools for documentation and work tracking purposes
- Experience in test design and maintaining test suites using spreadsheets and test management tools
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Assists the enterprise in house software development and third-party software application integration releases testing activities
- Practise and Implement quality process in test design solutions while conducting exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications, business requirements and processes procedures.
- Responsible for the test planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive test plans/test cases [Manual] to ensure software deliverables meet business and functional requirements.
- Create, maintain, and modify test plans/test cases for new/existing software applications/releases that ensure comprehensive testing according to the software specifications.
- Able to schedule automated regression test scripts, analyze defects and reporting to corresponding teams.
- Act as primary support person for applications under his/her responsibility for providing functional knowledge, carrying out proof of concept testing as needed.
- Identify and implement new and improved testing best practices tools that would benefit team and organization
- Responsible for mentoring and guiding junior team members on complex or challenging situations that requires advanced knowledge
- Willing to undertake additional responsibilities and tasks assigned as per project and organization needs.
