Roles and Responsibilities / Skills
• Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply the knowledge to product development and challenging technical problems.
- Product design & development methods, design calculation and material selection.
- Conceptualizing new product design ideas by using CAD software to design prototypes.
- Must have experience in understanding drawings, defining GD&T and Stack-up analysis.
- Must have experience in Plastic, Sheet metal and Machining parts.
- Typical knowledge in Welding processes, Reverse engineering & Additive manufacturing.
- Prior knowledge about Design for Excellence (DFX).
- Experience in executing DFMEA for each assembly, Sub-assembly & Parts.
- Exposure to Feasibility study, Tear-down analysis and Benchmarking.
- Knowledge of experimental design and ability to apply statistics to drive data-based decision making.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to document, communicate, and present technical bodies of work
- Hands-on experience in NX (Unigraphics)
- Experience in Sheet Metal design and development
- Additional skill in Casting Design
