- Own the definition and implementation of QA engineering processes and best practices.
- Oversee the execution of overall QA strategy and testing efforts, including manual and automated testing.
- Should take End to end responsibility for complete product quality.
- Be hands on with product and automation.
- Provide leadership in defining the automation methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for automation processes.
- Create, advocate and coach test automation best practices to team members.
- Works closely with Product owners to understand product specifications, coordinate testing activities, and communicate test results.
- Should articulate both problems and proposed solutions.
- Spearhead initiatives that influences engineering organizations to build a quality-driven culture.
- Minimum 10 years overall experience with 2 years experience leading resources in complex software testing projects.
- Should have worked in an Agile team with clear understanding of the Agile Development Methodology.
- Should have the ability to define, adopt and implement Industry Standard QA processes and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are desired Knowledge of software development life cycle process.
- Good programming knowledge on Java is a must.
- Knowledge of building/ maintaining software test automation frameworks.
- Hands on with test framework like JUNIT/ TESTNG/ Cucumber.
- Hands on with test automation tools like REST Assured/ Appium/ Selenium (at least any 2).
- Knowledge on Design patterns will be a good plus.
- Knowledge on QA tools preferably Jira/any bug tracking tool, Test link/any test case management is a must.
- Experience on working with applications deployed in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Should have Knowledge CI/CD, experience in CI/CD implementation an added plus.
- Experience in working with iOS/ Android application will be an added plus.
- Ability to mentor team and guide them to identify solutions.
- Excellent communication - oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- A good leader who believes in influencing, collaboration and teamwork. High in energy, confidence ability to adapt to fast pace development.
- Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing QA team.
