Roles and Responsibilities
- Document technically accurate content for products including User Manuals, Quick guide
- Research and determine the technical documentation needs for the features
- Estimate efforts and deliver content on time
- Ensure quality of the documentation
- Troubleshoot Git conflicts, understand system architecture, manage the CMS (Content Management System)
- Execute day-to-day information engineering activities
- Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product help documentation
- Identify problem areas or structural deficiencies and proactively contribute to their improvement
- Experience creating infographics to more clearly communicate workflow processes and abstract topics
- Build and maintain client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online video, demos, guided tours, and other other educational techniques
- Maintain a library of application documentation, cataloging it for internal and/or external use
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, RFP responses, ), ensuring a consistent "look and feel."
- Proven experience producing technical content for public consumption
Desired Candidate Profile
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience with authoring and publishing high-quality content in XML
- Experience working with the tools preferred: Confluence/JIRA, Git / Github / Gitlab, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Hands-On experience with Oxygen XML or similar Authoring tool
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/core sciences, or Masters in English Language/Technical Communication
- 5 to 8 years of experience in technical writing, with at least 3-4 years of experience product documentation
