• The successful candidate shall be expected to work as a developer and an individual contributor in Retail Administration Systems department. You are required to be a highly skilled, hands on developer who shall deliver software features within a project; meeting business requirements with highest standards of quality and responsiveness of extremely timely deliveries to business; with limited to none supervision (design / code reviews / qa etc ) .

Essential Skills (Technical)

Seasoned IT software delivery professional with an experience of 7 years of hands on development.

Expert at following technology sets -

o Advanced Knowledge of RPG ILE, CL ILE, SQL ILE on IBM i- Series platform

o Advanced Knowledge of DB2/ 400 concepts and associated methodologies.

o Advanced Knowledge of WMB/ MQ, B2B Swift Messaging interfaces

o Highly skilled and efficient with i- Series development tools like SEU, i- Series Navigator,

o Application development tools and frameworks like X- Analysis, SOAP UI etc..

o Experience with messaging based development on any of the technologies like WebSphere MQ, Active/ Rabbit/ Sonic MQ

Experience with agile / continuous delivery paradigms of software development

Has ability to envision design for complex functional and technical problems while incrementally evolving the implementation in simple progressive steps of deliveries.

You are adept at Pair programming and can comfortably pair with other developers irrespective of maturity/ experience levels. You are eager to coach/ guide juniors to improve the delivery capability.

You are at ease with understanding/ supporting the code base written by others and in learning/ trying wider technology sets / problem solving methods used in a project.

Aware and experienced with code and language/ technology best practices.

Experience with advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning methods for IBM i- Series and B2B Swift based ecosystems like batch job analysis, SQL tuning using Visual Explain etc

Desirable Skills / Experience

Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

Ability and experience to apply new skills / additional information acquired in relation to role

Experience on development on cloud ecosystems is a plus (PaaS / Cloud Foundry models, Rabbit MQ etc)
