ZS's Business Technology group helps companies define and execute their technology strategy by designing, building and operating their business intelligence (BI), cloud, data management, dashboard and analytics capabilities. Team members strategize, design and build custom IT solutions to improve our clients' commercial effectiveness.


The Associate Principal of the Platform BPaaS strategy and operations will help us to design and operationalize packaged solutions and BPaaS services for our ZAIDYN Platform. ZAIDYN is our integrated AI/ML driven Pharma Commercial Solution that combines field alignment and performance with omnichannel next best action and field effectiveness products and offerings.

He/she will collaborate with ZAIDYN Software Development and Professional Services teams to design, establish and optimize a highly agile DevSecOps services, and a shared service center to deliver them for all of our small and medium clients. Once established, he/she will lead the shared services team and continuously improve the cost and effectiveness of the service, measured by $/FTE, overall profit margin and client satisfaction scores. He or she will define the service offerings, their pricing, and method of delivery to ensure high profitability and client satisfaction, along with continuous innovation mindset to improve the services and offerings.

This person will also collaborate with the Platform sales team, software development leaders, multiple pharma commercial practice leaders, client teams to shape and define our ZAIDYN services offerings, by adding service lines and continuously enhancing the value to the clients.

This person will develop and grow their service team. The leader must be a strategic thinker as well as able to ensure tactical execution is both timely and of consistent high quality.


  • To learn about ZS's business, especially marketing operations and commercial execution, their successes and challenges to-date. Understand the Verso set of capabilities and functionalities and clients' business processes leveraging and driven by the software
  • Use design thinking to collaborate with clients, client support teams, software development and professional services to design and develop lean, hyper automated way to achieve client' digital operations objectives in a repeatable, standard, optimized cost way.
  • To develop a roadmap for long-term growth in capability and revenue
  • Develop service packaging - SLAs, OLA's, pricing, SOPs, processes and procedures - to ensure attractive, differentiated offerings, by utilizing IT service management best practices.
  • Deliver the services to current and new clients, mentor and guide the service delivery team. Grow the team commensurate with the client demand and size of the client footprints.
  • Participate in sales calls and RFP responses for clients, together with client teams and sales leads, to propose the appropriate service offering and incorporate BPaaS service thinking into the proposed solutions.

Qualifications & Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technology discipline required
  • 10+ years' experience with being a general manager overseeing a BPaaS/Operations-like business, with responsibilities for strategy development and execution, capability building, business development, team development, and innovation
  • Deep understanding of cloud services and analytics platforms; recognized industry expertise in BPaaS/Operations strategy and management
  • Sound knowledge of Lean Six Sigma skills with emphasis on Lean
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading a P&L for a book of business beyond personal accounts
  • Track record of positively improving and transforming business processes in the past
  • Strong change management skills and experience
  • Good at mentoring and growing team members; ability to collaborate with peers and other enterprise functions
  • Strong leadership: excellent team management, coaching and mentoring skills; superior planning, process and influencing skills.
  • Good presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) including experience and level of comfort presenting concepts to senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective change management leader for their direct reports

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
