Roles and Responsibilities

• Handson experience in working with MySQL based database solutions.
• Solution design capability with cutting edge AWS database technologies
• Knowledge on differing approaches to data storage in AWS.
• Working experience on AWS Databases and storage patterns to include, Amazon Aurora, Relational Database Service (RDS).
• Ability to Solve issues by designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions.
• Ability for full stack development teams to create databases in AWS using a DevSecOps mindset and principles.
• Hands-on experience in SQL query design, PL-SQL etc.
• Experience in MySQL based database performance troubleshooting and optimization.
• Experience in Database operations such as backup, restore, query analysis, Query optimization, Long running query identification etc.
• Hands-on experience on database performance analysis, providing recommendation and generate periodical performance reports based on requirements.
• Work on indexing, replicating, and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions.
• Writing, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languages.
• Create architecture and develop modular software components.
• Monitor system performance metrics to identify potential risks/issues.
• Hands on experience with Amazon Aurora – MySQL RDS. Preferred experience in AWS Elasticache for Redis.
• Provide day-to-day support to existing customers and ensure that the team is always exceeding their expectations
• Develop system health metrics for both real time monitoring and usability recommendations
• Investigate new technologies and methodologies to better support the product
• Coach and mentor other team members as needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required
• AWS Certified Developer Associate (preferred)
• AWS Certified Database – Specialty (preferred)
