Job Description
We are looking for Agile Project Manager who can guide and coach agile development teams,
leading them in agile processes while managing project scope, release and planning. Design,
develop, and implement product release plans to achieve minimal viable product and system
enhancements that address the functional needs of system wide EH&S Technology Initiatives
and identify associated priorities, opportunities and risks. Work closely with Product Owners,
Business Analysts and users to ensure the development team has the understanding of the
requirements needed to iteratively develop the needed solutions.
Responsibilities:
• As a SCRUM Master ensure development teams are highly functional. Provide team and
individual coaching to ensure team health as well as individual growth.
• Coach the team to create strong processes and provide structure around those agile
processes to ensure the team is able to consistently achieve their development goals.
• Plan and facilitate all SCRUM and agile meetings throughout the sprint making sure the
team is making progress on the current iteration and prepared for future Sprints.
• Track team and project metrics for use in team retrospection and growth, and reporting
to product ownership and leadership for project tracking.
• Work closely with other Scrum Masters and department agile coaches to enhance the
departments agile practices.
• Handle various responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing
all aspect of the project
• Assist in team development by removing road-blocks to their work, mentoring them and
making a good utilization of organizational resources to improve capacity for project
work and emphasize on individuals & interactions over process & tools.
• Decide deadlines and budget of the project accordingly and maintain status report of
the project and also keep a record of the previous reports
• Conduct training sessions for the team members and explain to them using the agile
methods
• Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring that each team member is fully
engaged in the project with meaningful contribution
• Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
• To facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meeting.
• Forecast the number of deliverable possible in an iteration based on evidence.
• Estimate and plan for the whole software development project and ensure the correct
application of the scrum process.
Qualifications:
• BE/B.Tech, MCA, MBA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Experience using Agile methods, concepts and theories in situations to solve problems,
classify and organize data, deconstruct components, combine and relating knowledge
from several areas to reach a preferred outcome.
• Project Management experience to lead a team through the system development
lifecycle. Includes development and implementation of project planning documents
appropriate to the situation develop product vision, roadmap, themes, risk mitigation
plans develop and apply Agile project methodologies to the situation.
• Experience documenting, comparing, and contrasting requirements gathered from
multiple parties and organizing, interpreting, and translating them for development
teams.
• Experience leading development teams through multiple projects guiding the team to
ensure continuous retrospection and improvement.
• Experience translating requirements into user stories with valid acceptance criteria.
• Facilitation experience in conducting business requirements workshop and agile
ceremonies.
• Experience in strategic planning and change management, including planning, analysing
and evaluating programs and approaches.
• Experience managing project tickets and maintenance including triage/troubleshooting
tickets, and balancing maintenance with feature development.
• Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with
diverse audiences, including faculty and staff and presenting complex concepts and
recommendations clearly for management decision making purposes.
