Job Brief & Description

Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth of the company business. The main job is to develop new customers and maintain relationships with existing customers.

 

Company Core Business

1) Our core business is to cater to Textbooks, Notebooks & Stationery that schools recommend for their kids.

2) We cater to schools in the following ways 1) Bulk supplies 2) Books stall inside the schools 3) Online sales.

3) We also work with school libraries to understand their requirements in the libraries and supply the books accordingly.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a thorough, end-to-end understanding of the products the company has developed and lead business development.
  • We will assign specific areas and schools you have to go there and pitch about Central books products and services.
  • Meeting the right decision maker and the organization's key people at regular intervals.
  • To strategize and develop B2C/B2B business.
  • Identify the pain areas(Supply of Books) of the organization and provide the solution.
  • Identify the current service providers for the school's books and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Study current book curriculum list & Publisher lists.
  • Achieve your sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Existing schools maintain relations meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Existing schools find out any new opportunities for sales & services.
  • Add new clients in your territory and renew existing clients.
  • Generate leads and cold-call prospective customers.
  • Co-ordinate with Sales Head and bring him into the discussion with Schools at the appropriate time for Sales Pitch/Objection handling/Negotiations/Business deal
  • Undertake suitable market research and obtain clients, including those who seek customization.
  • Create the need for and place our products in the market for increased visibility.
  • Provide quotations to the schools as per their requirement.
  • Coordinate with school management to organize books sale smoothly & with internal CBS departments.(Procurement, Warehouse, etc.,) for smooth fulfillment of sales.
  • Timely collections of receivables from credit customers.
  • Prepare periodic reports on improvements required in process flows.
  • Unsold Sales Return books need to be coordinated with operations Teams for timely pickup as per accepted terms.
  • Demonstrate creativity and autonomy to establish a thriving business development function.
