Roles and Responsibilities
- Experience in planning and architecting solutions for target landing zone and migration treatments.
- Experience in helping technical team on prioritising migration workloads and wave planning.
- Experience in working with technical team to help building the infrastructure and troubleshooting
- Experience in working with application and database team specific to migration treatments on Re-Factor, Re-Platform / app modernization.
- Identify applications in application portfolio that represent opportunities for modernization to new cloud architectures by evaluating quality attributes, technology risk, capacity variability, and other factors prioritized by company goals and client needs.
- Assess, design, plan and migrate IT infrastructure / applications from on-premise to AWS Cloud
- Assess existing AWS landing zone, propose architectural best practices and cost optimization
- Staying abreast of evolving developments in the cloud native space in order to adopt key practices and architectures to continuously improve our cloud native capabilities.
- Creating reference implementations and executable architecture enabling Apexon developer community through examples and reusable code bootstrapping their application and practices.
- Coach, mentor and enable Apexon developer community empowering them to develop cloud native skills and applications unlocking agility and creating opportunity for innovation.
- Provide cloud technology radiator giving leadership and teams visibility into potential building blocks for use in our cloud applications.
- Performance Engineering, Scalability Assessment, Design and Code review, workload and performance modelling, Resolving critical performance & scalability issues in the post-production system
- Oversee build of cloud-native applications based on scalable, portable, and resilient designs
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer engineering or a relevant field.
- 12+ years IT experience out of minimum 4 years designing and implementing AWS cloud migration and application modernization.
- Should have experience in implementing more than one migration project into AWS cloud.
- Should have strong experience in analysing and migrating data from on-premise to cloud
- Should have strong experience in managing and troubleshooting Windows & Linux operating system
- Should have strong experience in databases like SQL server, Oracle and MySQL.
- Should have experience in DNS configuration, Certificate management and Active Directory and SSO
- Should have experience in discovery, assessment, planning, design, execution,
- Deep understanding of AWS Cloud and infrastructure components (compute, storage, network, security, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end Cloud infrastructure architectures and designs
- Experience building AWS Infrastructure using CloudFormation, Terraform and Cloud Management Workflows.
- Experience in designing & developing applications using AWS cloud native services.
- Programming experience using any supported scripting languages like Python, NodeJS, Go, Java or .NET
- Review platforms used by the client and suggest improvements in automation, DevOps (CI/CD) practices, architectural best practices, security, platform services and cost optimization
- Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
- Experience in solutioning and migration of IT infrastructure and applications from on-premise to AWS Cloud
- Experienced in observability practices and toolchains on Monitoring, Metrics, Logging, Alerts & Tracing.
- DevOps and Agile team experience
- Experience in creating Reference Architecture
- Leading and facilitating cross functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- AWS Solution Architect - Professional Certification is a must
