Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for configuring firewall for site to site Virtual Private Network (VPN), site to user VPN, etc
- To configure firewall for opening required internet traffic, etc.
- To monitor firewall / Intrusion Detection System (IDS) for device performance, availability, capacity and security compliance.
- Responsible for detection of security incidents from alerts generated or from log analysis
- Management of Firewall / IDS Policy suggests new policies, make policy changes and implement global policies.
- Patch and signature pattern update required for Firewall / IDS
- Collection of Firewall / IDS logs with available tools.
- To monitor network and bandwidth.
- Responsible for delivering 99% uptime on network
- Provide availability and performance reports for the network.
- Provide Incident, Change & Configuration Management for network equipment and Links.
- Taking Backup of device configuration on a periodic basis.
- Responsible for capacity planning on links and network equipment.
- Preparing the network diagram and updating it on a regular basis.
- Responsible for network inventory management, vendor management.
- Responsible for network management on case of existing as well as new stores.
