Job Description :-

Position Overview:-

Within GlobalData (GD) there are many technical projects underway, ranging from updating websites, launching new digital products and implementing new data capabilities for various parts of the business. The projects will require collaboration of geographically distributed teams primarily based in London, Sofia & Hyderabad.

The Project Manager will establish and run projects that deliver business and technical changes by determining scope, establishing estimates, dependencies, budgets and plans; finally seeking approval from the relevant governance authority. Once projects are initiated, the post holder will be responsible for the execution of projects ensuring delivery to plans and budgets. Further, they will be responsible for maintaining plans, risk & issues logs and regularly reporting updates. The role goes beyond the standard project management reporting, requiring hands-on support and involvement across all workstreams to ensure a successful result.

The Project Manager will work with senior stakeholders, the Product Teams, the Software Development Team, marketing, sales and the business to ensure a successful delivery. They will need to shape and create a clear governance process, identify key stakeholders and implement a cadence, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape the project, define requirements and ensure sign-off and approvals are put in place.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various projects, including but not limited to digital projects. The individual will be methodical, organized, able to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible when confronted with change and will have excellent communication skills, with an interest and understanding of technology.

The Project Manager will also be expected to manage team members and coordinate teams to achieve the desired result. The role will also require coaching and developing talent across the organization to improve the overall delivery of projects and ways of working. The successful incumbent will initiate, plan, facilitate and motivate agile project teams, and be accountable for the successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager will supervise, track and report on all stages of the project, including ideation/concept, requirements, iterative development, testing and launch.

Essential Job Functions:

Project Manager

• Manage all phases of a project from initiation through to completion including project close and handover to business as usual
• Deliver all assigned projects to agreed scope, time and quality Project Manager
• Support and structure new projects and product launches to ensure a robust governance process, well defined roles and responsibilities and optimized delivery
• Technically project manage and coordinate the technology teams (Design, UX/ UI, Software development) as well as coordinate the overall end-to-end process
• Support individual workstreams with project delivery when needed to ensure the project runs smoothly
• Manage internal or third-party project resources to ensure that they are working effectively to deliver project outcomes.
• Manage and mitigate project risks and issues to reduce impacts on delivery.
• Follow Global Data governance processes to ensure adequate project management documentation, reporting and plans are in place
• Support the creation, maintenance and improvement of project management processes, procedures, tools and people
• Liaise and update senior stakeholders on the status of projects
• Track the project deliverables and match those with agreed deadlines
• Report on success criteria for delivered projects by measuring results

Qualifications and Experience:

• University Degree
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience working as a Project Manager, with a blend of commercial, digital or IT transformation experience
• Proficiency with MS365, MS Project and Jira
• Project Management qualification preferred
