The Opportunity:

The SAP Practice Director at Open Text bridges the gap between the technical world of SAP, OpenText Product Suite and business processes of our customers. Therefore a combination of deep technical, SAP Practice, delivery, presales and client engagement skills and a wide range of equally important “soft” consulting skills such as advanced customer facing skills, customer relationship building, facilitate/lead blueprint design and requirements workshops, and excellent communication skills are required for this role.

You are great at:

  • Candidate should have prior experience of working with Procure to Pay or Source to Pay (P2P/S2P) products like SAP Ariba, OpenText VIM,or any other similar one
  • In this role, you will be part of our senior leadership team in our Global Delivery Function and a key contributor to achieving the company's near-term and long-term objectives by providing technology consulting and delivering value to our customers.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining, managing customer relationships with C-Level Executives, Top Management, Key Stakeholders of our enterprise customers to obtain customer's goals and ROI objectives for an agile-based value implementation of OpenText Product suite.
  • Essential job functions Overall experience of over 20+ years with relevant experience in SAP for over 15 years Demonstrated experience in SAP space including minimum 3 years in having managed a Presales and SAP practice of over 50 associates.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery of SAP global engagements with onsite and offshore focus.
  • Support SAP practice as per plan and agreed KPIs measured to define metrics and processes Work with SAP global practice head to align SAP growth strategy with overall enterprise applications focus and SAP plan Demonstrate thought leadership to help grow OpenText's SAP practice as a leading SAP services provider Coordinates with various delivery units (VBU) and global sales teams to drive the overall competency growth to ascertain market needs, future trends and support in defining workable Go to Market (GTM) focus.
  • Help drive business from ongoing clients and help win new clients through creating good value proposition and proposal process.
  • Actively support sales opportunities by leveraging solutions, offerings and services and translate them into strong value proposition for clients and help win most deals.
  • Effectively monitor the overall practice resources to drive them towards being relevant to SAP technologies and market needs at all times Support delivery teams on various projects to have the required multi discipline SAP team including internal and 3rd party resources to ensure Customer Service Delivery Excellence.
  • Provide expertise within the context of each project in a manner designed to increase the overall SAP knowledge of team members. Support in growing SAP alliance relationship to help assimilate product expertise across SAP practice, joint go to market focus, build internal SAP competencies and renew them continuously for market relevance and build thought leadership to sustain the business growth
  • To work with marketing team and drive GTM activities for new solutions. To be fully aligned with SAP LOB and drive presales and support sales team.
  • Conduct appraisals for team members. Manage attrition. Identify and develop promotable consultants from within the team. Participate in organizational initiatives such as recruitment drives, training programs etc.
  • Proactively build and grow a team culture that focuses on successful and enduring customer and partner relationships.

What it takes:

  • Should have experience in leading and incubating the SAP practice
  • Hands on experience in SAP S/4 Hana and other related SAP technologies
  • Should have knowledge experience on Agile Methodologies, other SDLC processes etc. - Should have good interpersonal skill
  • Should have experience working on estimates and proposals for large deals.
  • Proven track record in business development, Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Gain the trust and respect of customers and colleagues, in a fast growing and sometimes challenging business circumstances and under pressure.
  • To travel to establish rapport with business users and provide necessary solution support.
  • To work with marketing team and drive GTM activities for new solutions.
  • Able to set KPI target and goals for the consultants within practice to achieve overall organization objectives.
  • Work with global teams and in onsite & offshore model
  • Demonstrated experience in program/project management and delivery of SAP global engagements with onsite and offshore focus.
  • Experience and understanding of SAP MM, PM, SD or FI functional modules and related business processes configuration is a huge plus.
