Roles and Responsibilities
The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Designing, installation, commissioning and qualification of Utility equipment, HVAC, Clean utility, Production machinery for Green field and brown filed projects for pharmaceuticals industry.
- Involvement in the selection of process and utility equipment's.
- Exposure to oral solid dosage and injection manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of Plant automation, operation and maintenance of pharmaceuticals equipment.
- Preparation of the project schedule and tracking of the execution activity.
- Follow ups with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adherence to stick to the quality and safety norm.
- Should have good communication skill.
- Review the project plans, specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
- Involvement with the purchase team to generate purchase requisition and releasing of purchased orders to the selected vendor.
- Reviewing of engineering drawings, URS, Specifications, QMS documents and site layouts.
- Exposure of various regulatory audits and guidelines for pharmaceuticals facility such as USFDA, EU GMP, MHRA and WHO.
- Experience of handling tender document bid proposal.
- Preparation of project budget, estimation and cost control.
- Coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Expedite all shop drawings and approvals given by vendor and consultants.
- Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.
- Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. Prepare & issue minutes of all site meetings.
- Hands on experience of the contractors billing, payments, site management and safety.
- Inform the Consultant/Contractor of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultants design drawings.
- Identification and mitigating of risks involved in the ongoing projects.
- Monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
- Ensure completion of and track all independent testing and inspections as required.
- Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.
- Control and monitor labour, material and equipment expenses.
- Ensure that as-built drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction.
- Ensure all required statutory inspections are performed.
- Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists.

Educational Qualification : B.Tech (Mech)
