As a Test Engineer I you will develop and execute exploratory, manual testing to ensure product quality. You will be involved in all aspects of software testing using appropriate testing methods to validate the quality of the requirements and development of Source Products. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple application platforms and will be familiar with all aspects of software systems quality assurance and testing.
What you will do:
Ultimately, you will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system errors to meet quality standards specified for regression, integration, manual and functional testing.
- Develop, execute and maintain manual test cases, and test plans that will validate Medicare/Medicaid claim editing and pricing according to the application specifications
- Support automation scripting processes and tool usage
- Participate in daily sprint planning
- Execute front-end and back-end tests, including Web and API testing using Postman
- Work in an agile, fast-paced, two-week sprint release cycle
- Process Management
- Work with developers, SMEs, product owners, to understand business requirements and resolve application issues
- Produce reports and documentation for testing efforts, results, activities, data logging, and tracking
- Develop, enhance, and document UI and API testing methodologies
- Database
- Analyze and query multiple, complex databases
- Verify that databases are set up and populated with the correct test data
- Test Plan/Test Case Execution
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Execute manual component, functional, system, integration, performance, and regression testing according to the test plan and established timelines
- Leverage technical analytical skills and tools to assist in resolving application responsiveness issues
- Familiarity or experience Gherkin language (BDD)
- Communicate test progress, execution results, and project relevant information to team members and management on a frequent basis
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

- Familiarity and comfort in participating in the Agile ceremonies with the intent to communicate for impact
- Escalation and identification of risk and collaborate towards a mitigation plan with the larger team
- Familiarity with SAFE methodology
- Knowledge of LEAN documentation best practices
What You Bring:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of Software Quality Assurance experience
- 1 years of STLC experience in an Agile environment
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
