Senior JD Edwards Application Managed Services Consultant Manufacturing and Distribution

Roles and Responsibilities

General support duties include:

• Serve as primary functional contact for assigned Managed Services customers
• Respond to customer support requests via Help Desk, phone, and email, adhering to SLA guidelines and update tickets with thorough notes and timely communication
• Troubleshoot customer application issues. Examples: PO Entry, Automatic Accounting Instruction errors, MRP processing, Sales order Entry, Work Order generation
• Assist customers with periodic processes such as inventory/cycle counts, 1099s, W2s, asset close
• As requested, conduct customer conference calls / web meetings
• Participate in on-call rotation, to respond to P1 incidents after business hours
• Create documentation and conduct demonstrations of JDE functionality and training for internal resources and customers

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a solid mix of business process knowledge and JD Edwards techno-functional experience, to provide consultative support to our clients. Our consultants serve as an extension of the customers own team; relationship building, and customer service skills are essential.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and Distribution with full process spectrum and its associated JDE configuration is required. Examples include but are not limited to:

• Order to Cash process
• Procure to Pay process
• Manufacturing/Process Work orders
• Work Centers/Rate Schedules
• BOM and Parts Lists
• MRP/DRP
• Costing and Pricing
• Inventory

The willingness to learn additional JDE modules is required; you will be expected to become familiar with multiple modules. Members of this team are cross-trained and provide support and assistance to each other as needed.

In addition to specific functional modules, some experience with additional JD Edwards technical functionality is desired. Examples may include:

• Transportation
• Advanced Pricing
• Warehousing
• Home Builder
• CAM (Capital Asset Management)
• BI Publisher (embedded) configuration, including template design, conditional formatting, burst/email, data structures
• Security setup/configuration and menus
• User-Defined Objects (Form Extensions/Personalizations, Pages, CafeOne, etc.) and associated security and promotion
• Basic familiarity with Object Management Workbench (web and fat client), including statuses, promotion, check in/out, advanced get, etc.
• Data dictionary and vocabulary overrides
• Orchestrator, BSSV, AIS, ADF

Other highly desirable attributes:

• Service Now familiarity
• Project Management experience
• Specification writing and requirements gathering
• Independent research skills
