Position Summary

The role of the Senior Salesforce Developer is to work with Business Analysts and Solution architects to create new functionality using declarative (e.g. Formula Fields, Process Builder, Flow) or programmatic (e.g. Apex, Visualforce) methods to meet business requirements. The position has the responsibility for researching solutions, troubleshooting bugs, and enhancing the capabilities of Salesforce within best practices guidelines. In addition to understanding technical aspects of Salesforce such as Integration APIs and data security architecture, the role requires analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to set push back against unreasonable expectations.

This role in our RSI’s Application Managed Service practice offers the unique opportunity to work with multiple clients across all geographies. You will be part of a growing Salesforce practice inside a highly established, market leading, support services organization, with a very unique and highly differentiated Salesforce services model compared to other partners in the ecosystem. This role will have the ability to influence a very unique Salesforce managed services offering that addresses key challenges faced by Salesforce customers in the ecosystem.

Essential Duties Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex issues using best practice methodologies combined with your expertise and experience with the Salesforce platform.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts using Agile development techniques to understand requirements and build high quality solutions
  • Develop application fixes for critical issues with declarative (Workflows, Approvals, Formulas, etc) and programmatic tools (Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning, etc)
  • Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners
  • Proactively research, present and make recommendations regarding new features made available with each Salesforce release.
  • Perform review of code in collaboration with Administrators, to ensure long term viability integrity.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance, efficiency and reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different geographies.
  • Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the end user experience.
  • Collaborate with third party vendors associated to clients Salesforce solutions including middleware solutions, AppExchange products, and other business systems.
  • Be a pro-active contributor to a 24x7x365 running support organization, this will require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hours.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Minimal Qualifications

  • Platform Developer I Certification
  • Platform Developer II Certification
  • Platform App Builder Certification
  • Experience in Lightning Web Components
  • 4 years of Salesforce Development Experience


  • Minimum combined 10 years development experience with CRM applications with 4 years of hands-on development with Salesforce
  • 4 years of development in medium to large complexity Salesforce Orgs
  • Deep expertise of Salesforce architecture, administration, best practices, and CRM business concepts.
  • Experience with post-production managed services and support


  • Hands on Development with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills - verbal written. Ability to communicate at business level with stakeholders and technical level with developers.
  • Practical knowledge of APIs to integrate Salesforce with other data sources.
  • Expertise in customization of Mobile App.
  • Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of key application functionality, data security, and relationships.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations.
  • The ability to work effectively from a home-based office in a virtual environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Integration Architecture Designer Certification
  • Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer
  • A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
  • 2 Years of Experience in DevOps Environment


Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
